Gede Ruins Day Trip

Gede is one of those places that raises more questions than it answers: a wealthy, walled Swahili town that was simply abandoned, its coral-stone buildings slowly swallowed by forest ever since. We walk the ruins with a guide, then take in a performance by the local Giriama community before heading back.
