Classic Wildlife Safari

We start with a morning boat ride on Lake Naivasha, then head to Nakuru for an afternoon among its rhino and flamingos. From there it's on to the Mara for a full day of game drives, with an option to add a Maasai village visit before we head back to Nairobi. Lodge accommodation throughout, nothing rough about it.

The reserve most people mean when they ask for 'a Kenya safari' — wide open plains, resident lion and cheetah, and for a few months each year, the wildebeest migration thundering through.

Lake Nakuru

A compact soda lake ringed by cliffs. Depending on water levels you might find thousands of flamingos here, and there's a well-protected sanctuary for both black and white rhino.
